Introduction to Software Development – STEMing UP Weekly Write Up 06

Hello readers, and welcome to yet another weekly write up! This week was the first week of Phase III for the STEMing UP girls, and this past Saturday was the big day- four groups pitched their ideas to the Knixteen brand surrounding marketing, creating an app, and more!

They brainstormed ideas throughout Phase II, and using the skills learnt in previous sessions such as pricing, marketing, and pitching, presented their idea to a representative of Knixteen and a panel of judges. The event was a great success, and the students, parents, and judges had an amazing time!

This week of Phase III was hosted at Humber College. Huge thanks to Humber College North Campus for having us, as well as Checkout 51 for providing TTC tickets for the duration of Phase III! This summer, the girls will be learning Python, a backend programming language. Here are some of the basics of software development! More
