Pricing – STEMing UP Weekly Write Up 04

Second post of the week! This blog post will be covering what the STEMing UP girls have learnt this past Saturday. The topic was pricing, and was held at Microsoft! Shout out to Christina from Microsoft for teaching us about this seemingly simple, yet important topic.

It’s no secret that pricing your product or service can make or break your business. Pricing it too high will cause a fall in demand, and pricing it too low will cause a fall in supply.

After all, no one is going to use your dog walking business for $100 per walk! It’s essential to find the perfect balance that hits just right, where customers will still use your product / service and you’ll still be making a profit. That’s what we’ll be talking about today! More

Happy 5th anniversary to us!

There are so many things to be grateful for on this special day, most importantly we are grateful to you, our supporters and champions of change. With your help, we were able to serve over 2000 kids across GTHA and we look forward to continuing to serve much more youth and young women from diverse backgrounds and inspire them to pursue STEM careers. #CanWomenSTEM150- 150 Days of Canadian Women in STEM: Week 21 Wrap Up

150 Days of Canadian Women in STEM: Week 21 Wrap Up

Why are young women less inclined to pursue careers in STEM fields? How can we better support and encourage girls and young women in STEM? Why is it so important that we do so?

These are just a few of the questions that will be discussed at the Canadian Women in STEM Conference.

The #CanWomenSTEM150 conference will feature an open discussion, among women who work in STEM and young women who aspire to do so, to find the answers and come up with working solutions.

#STEMSpark: Meet Eva Martinez – Aerospace Engineer

Martinez_2829Eva Martinez’s introduction to STEM came out of the blue, quite literally, at the tender age of 5.

Her family was immigrating from Spain to Toronto by plane and she was invited up to the front.

“Just seeing the pilots at work and all the activity in the flight deck and being out over the Atlantic was, somehow the start of me wanting a future in aviation,” said the RMC and Canadian Forces engineering graduate, who is currently in charge of Program Management Excellence at UTC Aerospace Systems Landing Systems, Toronto.
