Today is Giving Tuesday!

Marki Sveen, January’s #hEr VOLUTIONHero

Monthly giving is one of the best ways to support hEr VOLUTION and is the safest, simplest and most effective way to donate, by committing to make as large or as small a gift as you wish. Monthly donors are the most loyal of supporters and the backbone to any non-profit organization.

We would like to show our gratitude to one of our hEr VOLUTION Hero monthly donors, who committed to contributing to our efforts in inspiring young women to embrace STEM careers. Marki Sveen became a volunteer hEr VOLUTION Mentor in 2019 and loves our STEMing Up program so much that she became a monthly donor in 2020 just to make sure it continues on. Marki’s generous gifts allowed us to subsidize Wi-Fi access for the girls in STEMing Up – on behalf of the students who had an amazing learning experience, thank you.

Becoming a monthly donor allows you to spread your donations out throughout the year, providing hEr VOLUTION with a dependable foundation of support. It can be as flexible as you want, so you can start off low (i.e. $10 per month) and can be increased or decreased at any time, and 100% of your gifts are eligible for a charitable tax receipt. Why did you decide to become a monthly donor for hEr VOLUTION?

I had been working on a website with a group of young women from hEr VOLUTION when the pandemic hit Toronto and schools started going online. I was concerned that there wouldn’t be enough computers or strong enough internet connections for students to connect and take part in online school.

In your opinion, why should others become a monthly donor?

hEr VOLUTION connects mentors and companies directly with young women who are motivated to pursue higher education and careers in STEM. Their drive coupled with your donation makes these futures more attainable.
