  • December 13th, 2021 is the deadline for early consideration for the 2022 cohort. Applications submitted on, or before the 13th will receive priority review.
  • February 13th, 2022 is the final deadline to apply for the 2022 Dev Degree cohort.

Thank you for the #Unselfie posts!Keep ‘em coming!

We are just over one week away from Giving Tuesday and we are so excited with the #Unselfie posts in support of hEr VOLUTION so far! Don’t stop now and keep your social media posts going!

Gira, current STEMing UP student and Youth Committee Member at hEr VOLUTION believes that she can pay forward the impact that she received from hEr VOLUTION by volunteering.  
Cindy, a Youth Committee Member believes that preparing young women to enter careers in STEM is a community effort. We agree 🙂 
Lorena, a STEMing UP student and Committee Member at hEr VOLUTION believes that numerous young women can benefit from similar opportunities to enter STEM as she did. 

It’s not too late to post your #Unselfie photo and it would go a long way in raising awareness about equipping youth with skills and opportunities to embrace STEM careers through hEr VOLUTION.

Follow the 5 steps below; it’s very easy and will only take 10 minutes:

  • Step 1: CLICK HERE to download & print the #Unselfie poster
  • Step 2: Write down why you support hEr VOLUTION
  • Step 3: Take a picture holding the poster (hint: get a friend to take a picture of you holding the poster or prop up the phone and set a timer)
  • Step 4: Post the picture on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) telling the world why you support hEr VOLUTION, using the #Unselfie & #GivingTuesdayCA hashtags and tag us at @her_volution
  • Step 5: Tell your friends about this campaign and ask them to support your cause with you!

Scholarships, how to prepare and win scholarships for your post secondary education

On November 10, 2021, we hosted our 2nd STEMing UP Speaker Series and, in collaboration with Scholarship Canada and Yconic, we brought you an event to support you with your scholarship applications.

It has been an exciting couple of days and we are SO grateful for your support. Your #Unselfies have helped us raise awareness for the next generation of women in STEM. As you know, hEr VOLUTION breaks barriers and provides numerous opportunities for young women who wouldn’t otherwise have access to technology and education that would bring them closer to a career of their choice.  

The proverb goes: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. We are going far and we will go together, one #Unselfie at the time.

Are you our next ambassador?

The hEr VOLUTION Ambassador Program is an exciting opportunity for young women to demonstrate STEM promotion and passion for improving gender equity in STEM. As an ambassador, you will create new opportunities for students, alumni, and STEM industry related companies to get involved with hEr VOLUTION. This program is a great way to enhance your leadership skills, learn more about STEM, and build a strong network of professionals.

You will work closely with your team to plan and execute various campaigns to help elevate the benefits of STEM for young womxn who are facing multiple barriers to entry a career in STEM.

Who can apply:

  • Students or young professionals aged 17-25 interested in or pursuing a career in STEM
  • Those able to commit to 1-3 years as an Ambassador
  • Those currently residing in Ontario, Canada
  • Former hEr VOLUTION students are encouraged to apply

Why participate:

  • Work towards ending the gender gap in STEM
  • Ongoing opportunities to network with professionals in STEM fields
  • Develop professional skills to help achieve career goals
  • Build your professional network
  • Free access to numerous events
  • Receive mentorship from women working in STEM
  • Develop and strengthen your leadership skills
  • Learn new things and meet new people
