hEr VOLUTION featured leader, Ulrike Bahr-Gedalia Awarded 3rd Consecutive Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award

Acknowledged with the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) 2017 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award, Ulrike Bahr-Gedalia, hEr VOLUTION advocate and President & CEO of Digital Nova Scotia, joins remarkable women from across the country who have been recognized for resiliency, strength, focus, and persistence.

Launched in 2003, the Top 100 Awards celebrate the incredible accomplishments of Canada’s top female executive talent, as well as their organizations and networks. Established to recognize women who are making a describable difference to the advancement of women in the Canadian workplace, the awards recognize talented leaders in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, and work to inspire the current and next generation to push the boundaries of what’s possible.

hEr VOLUTION is excited to share that last week, Ulrike was honoured with the RBC Champions Award in Toronto, presented to women who have had a substantial impact on other women, shown commitment to their community, and been acknowledged as role models and change agents.

“To receive this award for the third consecutive year is extremely humbling, I am truly honoured to be acknowledged alongside so many influential Canadian leaders. My global career of over 20 years has been driven by investing in and empowering my community, and to be recognized once again as a leader that is making a positive impact, is an incredible honour.” says Ulrike Bahr-Gedalia. “I am exceptionally proud to represent the digital sector and Nova Scotia with this award, and hope that young female leaders, including my daughter, see that the possibilities are endless if you embrace risk and take on new challenges.”

“Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards showcases the leaders that are helping to drive positive change and progress and to remind us of the importance of empowering women in our workforce and in the community,” says Sherri Stevens, President & CEO of PhaseNyne, a parent company of Women’s Executive Network – WXN, Canadian Board Diversity Counsel – CBDC, and Stevens Resource Group – SRG.   “We are so proud of the steps taken by women, and the organizations that support them, and are thrilled that we have now surpassed a major milestone, with more than 1,000 women honoured since the awards were launched in 2003.”

Ulrike joins a prestigious community of past Award Winners, including Canada’s most iconic women trailblazers: Margaret Atwood, best-selling author; Dr. Roberta Bondar, astronaut; Arlene Dickinson, chief executive officer, Venture Communications; Christine Magee, president, Sleep Country Canada; Michaëlle Jean, former Governor General of Canada; Heather Reisman, founder and chief executive officer, Indigo Books & Music; and, Kathleen Taylor, chair of the board, Royal Bank of Canada.
