150 Days of Canadian Women in STEM: Week 3 Wrap Up

By Jennifer Smith Gray on March 5, 2017 under CanWomenSTEM150

As we reach the end of week 3 of 150 Days of Canadian Women in STEM, we are thrilled with the response to the campaign so far. We love hearing from people who want to talk about the accomplishments of their friends, family members, and colleagues, and from women who want to share the details of their own involvement in STEM.

Keep those nominations coming! We are building up a valuable library of inspiring role models for girls and women in Canada.

The end of week 3 also brings us closer to our wrap-up event on July 15, where you can hear from some of our featured women in person. Stay tuned for more information, coming soon, and for your chance to register early for this exciting event.

This week we featured the following women who are involved with STEM in Canada:

  • Amira Dhalla, Lead for the Mozilla Foundation’s Women and Web Literacy initiative
  • Yinka Adegbusi, a data analysis professional
  • Dr. Jenni Sidey, the Institute for Engineering and Technology Young Woman Engineer of the Year in 2016
  • Cher Jones, Corporate Social Media Trainer and Founder of Socially Active Training
  • Nicole Christen, PhD student conducting research in Intersection of Capacity Development (ICT)
  • Anne Genge, Certified Information Privacy Professional with a specialization in dentistry
